"It was with a wistful sigh that I turned the last page of THE SOLDIER AND THE ROSE by Linda Barrett.  Such a fabulously nostalic story only comes along once in a blue moon, and boy, was its shining brightly amongst the book stars!   (This book) in my opion is one of Ms. Barrett's best offerings to date...this is definitely what true romance really is!

THE SOLDIER AND THE ROSE is one of the most heartwarming storeis I've read in months.  I loved it form beginning to end...it was over long before I wanted it to be.  Linda Barrett told the story so well that I would have been completely content to simply read on and on, lost in the world she created and listening to her characters....Rose and Charlie's story is like a treasured family heirloom, something to be taken out and enjoyed more than once.

"Author Linda Barrett tackles several major topics at once in this heart warming story of love and trust. I found my attention captured quickly and could not stop reading until the last page had been turned. I read the entire story in a single sitting, and lost a lot of sleep doing so. But I have no regrets. The characters are well developed and I came to care for each one, especially Joey and Dani. An outstanding read that I highly recommend!"
